ASI Certification – Aluminum Stewardship Initiative (Green Aluminum)
ASI is a global non-profit organization that sets standards that encourage aluminum producers and users to produce responsible for a sustainable society. From aluminum raw material bauxite refineries to OEM manufacturers, all industrial organizations, non-governmental organizations, associations and other supporting organizations in the aluminum supply chain can become members of ASI. Members can join working groups, vote for management, and have rights such as taking part in the development of standards and management, depending on their membership status.
ASI has developed standards; It audits the sustainability of organizations and supply chains with the Performance Standard and the Chain of Custody Standard. Members can convey to their stakeholders that they have been working on the environmental, managerial and social dimensions of sustainability, fulfilling the requirements of responsible production, by meeting the requirements of the ASI Performance Standard according to the membership class they have chosen, and by obtaining an ASI Certificate as a result of the audit of independent auditors.
